HISTORY:

In the early 1980s, a vacant lot along Madasalin Street was used as a temporary chapel for almost two years.  Then, the Sikatuna Villagers Association and Sikatuna Ladies decided to purchase a lot for the purpose of constructing a church.  Instead of a simple one-storey place of worship, a multi-storey church was built.  In 1996, the parish acquired the Bahay Pagmamahal, which served as the multi-purpose center.

On his pastoral visit in 1993, Archbishop Jaime Cardinal L. Sin saw the completed church in Sikatuna Village and, within a week, he sent Fr. Clemente Ignacio to the parish and installed him as the first parish priest on April 16, 1993.

The Pastoral Center Executive Committee (PCEC) was created to come out with a five-year fund-raising program to generate funds not only for acquiring the 470-square-meter lot adjacent to the church but also for constructing the future Devine Mercy Pastoral Center.  On August 22, 2003, the parish acquired the adjacent lot.
